Jesse James sent in some very rad shots of killer surf in Central America. This shot above is my favorite!
This brings up a good point, I've been wanting to do a photo contest on the site for a while. There are some killer shots that get posted to the gallery and I want to keep the best ones coming. So I'll offer up a shiny new copy of whatever free DVD I can get, or more likely, the surf DVD of your choice. I'll wait until the end of the hurricane season to end it. I'll work out the details later.

Posted August 6th, 2007 04:44 PMLooking for a new board?
If you are like me, you like to look at surfboards. Now that I live in San Diego, its pretty crazy the variety of boards you see in shops and at the beach. One of the defining shapes for San Diego is the fish. Steve Lis and others modified kneeboards, and in the last 5-10 years many have added refinements. One of the newest trends is the quad fin fish. My daily driver is a 5'6" x 20.5" x 2 3/8" quad fin fish shaped by Rich Pavel. Besidse the quad fin set up, it adds a more modern rocker and bottom to the fish outline.
Carlos at CShapes sent me a pic of his latest fish model which I've posted below. It looks like a fun board, pretty rockered out for both entry and tail, but nice thickness carried out through most of the board.
