New to the miami surf scene

Hey duuuts whats up? I recently moved to miami, and I've been bodyboarding for almost 8 years now, mostly in other countries and I've surfed for 2 years.

Just looking for some waves, I dont really know where the spots are or if there are any waves for tht matter, I've seen the pics on the site and they look pretty clean.

Can any one recommend me some good spots or a good surf shop with people who can give me some information? For instance the consistency and the charts what to look for on the surf reports.

It a be really if you would hook me up with local surf scene.

Appreciate it ;)

If you check out our links in each column, that's a good place to start. These businesses make up the local surf scene.

IWS, F1rst Shop, Liquid Tube are core shops that know their sheeet.

Try surfing at South Beach, and as you drift through the masses, you will find some good souls to make it a worthwhile session ~ if you don't cut people off and act a fool.

Miami is also close to Costa Rica, when you're ready for a surf trip.
