East China Sea and Ryuku Islands

No swell to report for the east china sea, but diffrent story for the pacific side. Break out the geography map folks, cause this place is pretty far off of the radar. Nice eastshort period swell(7 secs.) Coming in nice on some off shore reefs(think waikiki 3's type paddles). Cool water temps in the low 70's upper 60's, bahamas color water lots of reef. Waves were in the chest to head high range.
Heading to the Ryukyu Islands in August/September. Stoked to hear somebody else is there. What island(s) did you go to? Was the water really that cool? Tips or recommendations are apprecitated!
Water temps were for spring time. August September is quite warm, 80's(30 c). Im pretty sure youre already there and for some advice, boats are the ticket to get to the outer reefs and play a bit with the wind. Southern Ryukyu Islands.......
