Off to Costa Rica for a quick tactical strike in Guanacaste. See you Wednesday!
Nice Mr. B - official CRsurf forecast is here - http://www.crsurf.com/surfreport.html
and some tide charts for the trip - http://www.crsurf.com/costa-rica-tides-2012/may.html
Have a blast bro! I'm off to Rio tomorrow for two weeks. Anybody surfed there?
Sure! Just leave us here during this flat spell! Nice guys...
We have a GOOD combo NE wind swell//pre-dominant ENE ground swell hittting Sat PM-Tues! Martin county north should be fun and PEAKY! Find a NICE sanbar! This is probably the last cold front swell till winter! On another note, this article disgustd me! http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/05/14/v-fullstory/2799249/miami-d... All the money that these director"s make, with no action being taken! We spend money on stadiums and a 1 billion dollar tunnell And we happily surf in a Toilet Bowl! Complain to Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez!
Greetings from Costa. Good size today in Guanacaste. Head+ with occasional ++ sets Clean in the a.m. with a seabreeze in the afternoon. Not rubbing in, just sharing a little stoke! Pics to follow upon my return tomorrow.
I've said this before: TACTICAL STRIKES F&^%IN RULE!!!!!
My buddy just got back from the same area- gave the same report! Said he found one of the pointbreaks working on this swell, too. Damn. I wanna surf!
Here's a little teaser from my strike. Will post more in the pictures section soon.
nice pics!! is that negra? i'll be there in two weeks. doing 4 nights at negra and 4 nights at santa teresa.
if u guys need help organizing ur trip, do NOT hesitate to contact greg of CRSURF. i have been going to CR for 11 yrs every summer but it never hurts to have someone to help you out w organization.
Thanks C. Those are some nice shots Mr. B! Who's behind the lens? I know over a dozen of the local photogs and videographers in Costa Rica so anytime anyone needs some shots while they are in the country, let me know. http://www.crsurf.com/photos1.html
C, it's Negra. CR, the guy's name was.... Damn! Krypto moment. Just the local photog with a sickass lens. He lives a few minutes from Negra in a yellow house.
Hey Greg, Im dipping to Marbella next week from Tues-Mon. Can u look into your crystal ball and let me know what I should expect? From what I see it looks like fun size with clean mornings and choppy afternoons but nothing big. Any clues on where to surf when the wind gets on it in that area? I know Marbs shuts down once the onshores kick. Im staying in San Juanillo which is pretty much within 45 min to the north of Nosara and about 45 min to the south of negra.
Thanks!
Here's what I put up last Friday - http://crsurf.com/sample.html
Marbella is nice since there's a left that works when it's big at lower tides and then the beachbreak that breaks a little bigger than other spots when it's small and works at higher tides. Just print out the tides charts for May and plot accordingly. - http://www.crsurf.com/costa-rica-tides-2012/may.html
Boy that was fun! Waves all morning.
